Robert Erie

Robert Erie, 88, of Kutztown, formerly of Emmaus, passed away on January 31, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospice. He was the husband of Carole D. (McEllroy) Erie. They were married for 63 loving years. He was a Korean war veteran of the United States Army, receiving a purple heart.
Bob retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years, and was a past president, commander and quartermaster of the VFW Post 2124, Allentown.
In addition to his loving wife, Bob is survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Robert A. Erie, who served in the Air Force 20 years; as well as his parents Arthur Erie Sr. and Margaret (Yentsch) Erie.
