Steven A. Thompson

Steven A. Thompson, 63, of Allentown passed away May 26 at St. Luke's Hospice with his family by his side. He was the husband of Joyce (Lowery) Thompson, they were married 39 years. Born in Hartford, CT, he was a son of Cora Lee (Williams) Thompson and the late James Thompson, Sr. Steven was a self employed financial planner, specializing in estate and wealth management. He was an active member in the community and a long time member of Life Church (formerly Church on the Move), where he served as a board member and volunteer.
 
He is survived by his wife Joyce; his mother Cora Lee Thompson; daughter Kimberly Thompson of Allentown; son Marcus Scott Thompson of Atlanta; sisters Rudeine Demissie (Aberra) of Baltimore and Elaine Thompson-Russell (Sam) of Hartford; brother James Thompson Jr., Ed. D. of Hartford; four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. He was predeceased by a sister Gerdeine (Thompson) Womack in 2006.
 
Services: viewing on Thursday, June 7 beginning at 10 a.m. at Life Church (Macungie), 1609 Trexlertown Road, Macungie with funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. Arrangements by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
