Loretta J. Makoul

 Loretta J. Makoul, 92, of Allentown, died Sunday at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown.  Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late John and Emeline (Aeed) Joseph.  She was a member of the Woman's Club of Allentown and St. George Orthodox Church, Allentown and its Ladies Aid Society. 

 
A very strong woman, she was an avid bridge player who loved to travel.  She would love to cook Arabic food especially for her Sunday dinners, where family was most important. 
 
Survivors:  her sister Adele Peters; daughters in law Georgann, Alice and Josephine; grandchildren Kimberly, Sarah, Jolie, Simone, Rev. Demetrios (Joshua), Nicole and Michael; 20 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her three sons Richard, Thomas and James.
 
Services:  viewing on Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. in St. George Orthodox Church, 1011 Catasauqua Ave., Allentown.  Additional viewing on Friday beginning at 10 a.m. in the church, followed by funeral service at 11:00.  Interment at Garden of Peace Cemetery, Fullerton.  The Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown, is assisting the family.
