Joseph Francis Waldron

Joseph Francis "Duke" Waldron, 81, of Macungie, died Feb. 1 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Lois (Krommes) Waldron, they were married 49 years. Born in Chester, Pa., he was a son of the late Dominick and Anna (Sullivan) Waldron. A graduate of St. James High School in Chester and Drexel University, he was a Professional Engineer, working at Westinghouse Electric, General Electric, and Carter Wallace. He was a Pioneer resident at the Wild Cherry Knoll neighborhood in Macungie. Mr. Waldron was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors: wife Lois; daughter Kim Waldron and husband Dale Walck; "fur child" Lexi; brothers John and James Waldron; grandchildren Andre, Devon and Alison Walck. He was predeceased by siblings Dominick Waldron Jr., Anna (Waldron) Masten, Rose (Waldron) Boyle, Winifred (Waldron) Prendergast and Andrew Waldron.

Services: Memorial service at 12:00 noon Saturday, Feb. 7 at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton Street, Allentown. Calling from 11:00 a.m. until noon.
