Margaret M. Kohler passed away peacefully in her sleep, after a brave battle with cancer. She died with her children at her side.

Raised in Park Ridge, Illinois, she moved to Pennsylvania in the 1970s with two young children. She took night classes at Cedar Crest College while working full time, and eventually graduated with honors. Her career began on the production line at Alpo Petfoods, and steadily rose to be Director of Strategic Sourcing at Ainsworth Pet Nutrition over 40 years later.

She will be remembered for her tremendous generosity to those around her, hosting many family gatherings, her love of animals, and her boundless commitment to her children and grandchildren.

She was the daughter of Gloria Lokay, nee Colgrass, and the late Ray A Lokay, sister of Patricia Wyant, Ray H. Lokay and Jan Phillip Lokay. She had two children, Dawn Talijan and Matthew Kohler, as well as four grandchildren, Alexander and Kathryn Talijan, Lauren and Mason Kohler.

Memorial services will be held at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown on August 27, 2022 from 1-3 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
