Ronald W. Ridenour

Ronald “Ron” William Ridenour, born August 12, 1945, was a devout Christian from Nazareth, PA, who returned to His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 29, 2024. He was the devoted husband of Bonnie Jensen Ridenour and loving father of Ty Ridenour, Tracy Ridenour Tyson, and Niki Ridenour Wright, who dearly miss him and the life lessons he imparted to them. Among his children’s most treasured legacies was his living and engaging faith.

He was born in Lancaster, Ohio to Daniel Ridenour and Vivian Anderson Ridenour. Ron was educated at Glenbrook High School, Northbrook IL, and served in the Navy before earning his Bachelor’s of Science in Food Science at University of Georgia, and working as a food chemist and sales representative in multiple food manufacturing companies.

Ron Ridenour also was the loving father-in-law to Lori Ridenour, Jonathan Tyson, and Robert Wright, Jr.; grandfather to Nathan Tyson (and Jessica VanDuzer Tyson), Amanda Tyson, Zachary Ridenour, Matthew Tyson, Cayris Wright Rhodes (and Dylan Rhodes), Grace Ridenour, and Connor Wright; and great-grandfather to LucyGrace Tyson and Josephine Tyson. Ron is also survived by brother Daniel Ridenour (deceased) (and Jutta Ridenour) of Antioch, IL, and sister Nancy Ridenour Commins (and Robert Commins) of Nipomo, CA.

Visitation will be at 1 pm Friday, June 7th at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church of Center Valley (5900 Old Bethlehem Pike, 18034), immediately followed by his Celebration of Life service at 2 pm. Light refreshments will be served. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to organizations that were dear to him: American Heart Assn. (www.heart.org), American Diabetes Assn. (www.diabetes.org), Ripple Church (1421 W. Turner St, Allentown, 18102), and Betty Lou’s Pantry (333 E. Oxford St, Coopersburg, 18036). For those who cannot attend in person, Ron’s Celebration of Life service will be live streamed through YouTube with a link provided at (www.cornerstonepres.org/).
