Elizabeth A. Voigt, 85, of Glencoe, Illinois passed away June 13th at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. Born in Milwaukee, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Helen (Opat) Gonia. She was a graduate of Bay View High School, the University of Wisconsin-Madison (BA), and Northwestern University (MA). In her later years she worked as a freelance genealogist. She was a volunteer in the genealogy departments of several libraries on Chicago's north shore and a poll worker for elections in Glencoe.
Elizabeth is survived by her son Steven Voigt and his wife, brother Richard Gonia and family, and sister-in-law Beth Gonia. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond and brother Michael Gonia.
