Janet (Furst) Keck, born February 7, 1943, passed away at LVHN Hospice, Allentown, on January 11. She was the wife of George R. Keck and the daughter of the late Frank and Emma (Schlaner) Furst.
She began her nursing career at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown, before moving to Las Vegas, where she spent nearly 40 years working at various hospitals in nursing and administrative capacities.
She enjoyed reading, browsing on the computer, and traveling, spending many summer vacations visiting an aunt in Poppendorf, Austria.
She is survived by her husband, her brother Edward, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers, Frank Jr. and Richard.
No services are being held. Arrangements are by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
