Kevin Scott Schaffer, 72, of Allentown, PA, passed away on October 3, 2025, at Berks Heim in Berks County.
Born in Allentown on October 30, 1952, he was the son of the late Charles and Gloria Schaffer. Kevin was a 1970 graduate of William Allen High School. He proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force from 1970 to 1974, where he was stationed at Travis Air Force Base in California and trained as a Morse Systems and Radio Operator. He was honorably discharged and awarded the National Defense Service Medal and other commendations.
Kevin is survived by his children: Troy Schaffer (Christy), Brynn Schaffer (Jenel), Kara Lytle (Matt), and Keegan Schaffer (Erika). He was a loving grandfather to 23 grandchildren: Zion Schaffer, Halle Lytle, Silas Schaffer, Kyla Lytle, Korvan Schaffer, Abramm Schaffer, Dulce Lytle, Caleb Schaffer, Enoch Schaffer, Havyn Schaffer, Rhys Schaffer, Tiqvah Schaffer, Channing Schaffer, Jayce Schaffer, Jasher Schaffer, Eliana Schaffer, Arden Schaffer, Yarow Schaffer, Luka Lytle, Mila Schaffer, Marshall Lytle, Evi Schaffer, and Navah Schaffer.
He is also survived by his siblings: Duane Schaffer (Linda), Dana Menditto (David), Gwenda Benner, and Daphne Schaffer. He was preceded in death by his brother, Travis Schaffer.
Services: A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown, followed immediately by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
Interment: Burial will follow at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, Zionsville, PA.
