Hayat Akkari, 78, of Allentown passed away surrounded by family on December 28th at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of Mtanyous Makhoul. Born in Hama, Syria, she was the daughter of the late Mtanyous Akkari and Anisa Jarrouj.
She is survived by her husband Mtanyous; daughters Suhair, Summer, Siwar and Samaher Makhoul; sons Samer, Thaer, Sarar and Sadeer Makhoul, 14 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and extended family, who will all miss her dearly.
Services: viewing Wednesday, December 31st starting at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Orthodox Church, 1011 Catasauqua Ave., Allentown. Funeral service at 12:00 in the church, with burial following at Laurel Cemetery, Fullerton. Arrangements by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
