Michael Makoul

Michael Makoul, 64, of Bethlehem, passed away at his home on Jan. 16. He was the husband of Mary Jo (Badura) Makoul for 34 years. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Mona and the late Isaac Makoul. He was a 1971 graduate of Dieruff High School and worked for Lehigh Dyeing and Finishing, J.C. Erlich Pest Control and the Bethlehem School District. He loved gardening, having coffee and visiting with friends and neighbors at the Golden Gate Diner, but most important were his nieces, nephews and family who cherished him.
 
He is survived by his wife; mother; sister Esther and husband Steve Courtright; brother John and wife JoAnn; nephews Joshua Courtright and wife Kate, Ben Courtright and wife Kristie; nieces Caitlyn, Meredith, and Kelsey; a great nephew Jack and great-great nieces Liliana and Elin. He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Emily
 
Services: viewing at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19 at St. George Orthodox Church, 1011 Catasauqua Ave., Allentown with funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Garden of Peace Cemetery, Whitehall.
