Walter Sterling Madsen

Walter S. Madsen, age 94, passed away on Saturday, September 17th, 2022. He was born in Philadelphia, the son of John A. and Anna (Nyberg) Madsen. He worked all his life in the construction industry and co-owned a construction company for over 25 years. 

Walter loved the outdoors and enjoyed playing golf. He spent much of his free time in volunteer roles at church. In retirement he made furniture, picture frames, and other items in the wood shop he built on his property. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Walter was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Nancy and his son Timothy. He is survived by five children: daughters Chris and Lisa; sons Jens, Stephen and Matthew; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services: at graveside, 11:45 a.m. Thursday in Chestnut Hill Church Cemetery, 6870 Chestnut Hill Church Road, Coopersburg, Pa. Arrangements by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
