Shirley I. Young

Shirley Young, 90, of Allentown passed away on January 26th at Lehigh Valley Hospice. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Clayton and Margaret (Evans) Corrow. Shirley, along with her late husband John, operated Young’s West End Pharmacy for many years. She was very active in volunteering within the community, including fire police at the River Road and Eastern Salisbury Fire Companies. She also held positions of Secretary and President of the Lehigh Valley Pharmaceutical Auxiliary. She was active in Salisbury sporting events, always supporting her children and the Salisbury Youth Association. She was a big fan of Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

 

She is survived by her daughters Cindy Caputo and husband Brian, Bev Young and spouse Laurie; sons Keith Cunningham and Jim Young; her grandchildren Kristine and Audrey Caputo; Jimmy and Nicole Young and TC Cunningham; six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren along with extended family. She was predeceased by her husband John Young, son Tom Cunningham and daughter Mickie Young.

 

Services: viewing on Saturday, Feb. 3rd starting at 11:00 a.m. at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown. Funeral service begins at 12 noon.
