Stephen J. Kutish

Stephen Kutish, 76, of Orefield passed away August 9th at his home. He was the husband of Debra Kutish for 45 years this month. Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late John Kutish and Dorothy Valent Mato.

Steve was a self employed carpenter. He enjoyed dining with his family and friends, Street Rods, Nascar and sharing stories of his vast wealth of knowledge with those he loved. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. 

He is survived by his wife Debra; daughter Amanda Hrycko and husband Bradley of Allentown; son David Kutish and wife Christina of Orefield; along with his greatest treasures, his four grandsons Brandon, Devon, Sully and Tyler, and great-grandson Dawson. Brothers John, Daniel and Vincent; sisters Frances Kutish-Talarigo and Patricia Heckman.  He loved his family deeply and will be missed fiercely.  In the memorable words of Bret the Hitman Hart, “He was the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be”. 

Services are private, the Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home is assisting the family.
