Sandra Lee Azar-Mizgerd

Sandra Lee Azar-Mizgerd, 81, of Allentown passed away June 2nd at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of John Mizgerd for over 61 years. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Subrey and Margaret Azar “Mena”. Sandra "Sandy" was a graduate of Allen High School Class of 1962. She was a founding member of Everlasting Life Ministries and New Bethany E.C. Church in Allentown where she attended faithfully until her passing. She worked as the office manager of Eletrolux in Allentown. She served the poor through Everlasting Life Ministries food bank on Saturday Mornings weekly and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her spare time she loved cooking, writing poetry, and spent much time in prayer.
 
She is survived by her husband John;  son Rev. John S. Mizgerd of Yorktown Heights, NY and wife Shelley Baker Mizgerd; daughter Michele and husband Rev. Gus Al-Khal of Allentown; her grandchildren Adam, Jonathan, Michael, John Andrew and Alison; six great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Raymond and Tony Azar.
 
Services: viewing 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 6th at New Bethany  E. C. Church, 224 N. 6th Street, Allentown with Funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial following at Jerusalem Western Salisbury Cemetery.
