Gertrude Tettemer, 89, of Hellertown passed away August 7th at Saucon Valley Manor. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Kurt Kohler and Mildred (Ringer) Kohler. She shared 48 years of marriage with her late husband Paul.

She had a love for pottery making, angels and shopping QVC, and did volunteer work at Hickory Run firehouse in Dalmatia, Pa.

She is survived by her daughters Cindy Tyson and husband Kevin of Center Valley and Debra Horvath and husband David of Coopersburg; one brother Kurt and his wife Pam of Macungie; grandchildren Jennifer, Tracy, Kelly (Cory), Molly (Kyle), Zachary (Devon), Adam (Lauren), Brandon and Rachel (Andrew); her great-grandchildren Madison, Lukah, Liliana and Layne and one expected in March, along with extended family. She was predeceased by her son Paul Jr; sisters Dorothy Ann Beiber, Mary Jane Kohler and Annie Erney and her brothers Harlan and Walter Kohler.

The family would like to thank the nurses and care teams at Saucon Valley Manor and Family Pillars Hospice for their care.

Services: graveside service on Saturday, August 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Blue Church Cemetery, 5900 Applebutter Hill Rd., Coopersburg. Arrangements by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
