Michael Bitar, 70, of Allentown, died Feb. 6 at his home. He was the husband of Mona (Moussa) Bitar. Born in Hama, Syria, he was a son of the late Badih and Aziza Bitar. He was the owner of Bitar's Sportswear clothing manufacturer in Allentown for 25 years. Mr. Bitar was a devout member of St. George Orthodox Church, Allentown. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

Survivors: wife Mona; sons Wail and wife Heather, Albert and wife Shadia; brothers Salim and Kaleem; sisters Georgette and Janet; daughter in law Abeer; grandchildren Mitchell, Mallory, Elyssa, Eyanna, Christian and Michael. He was predeceased by his beloved son Badih "Buddy" in 2012.

Services: viewing on Monday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at St. George Orthodox Church, 1011 Catasauqua Ave., Allentown and also Tuesday morning starting at 10 followed by funeral service at 11:00. Interment at Laurel Cemetery. Arrangements by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
